Summary:Established Independent Insurance Agency located in Downtown Amarillo, Texas is searching for qualified candidate for Customer Service Representative (CSR). Prior Property & Casualty experience preferred but not required. Applicant must be friendly and customer focused while also possessing skills with use of computers including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Essential Functions:
- Attract potential customers by answering insurance and service questions via phone or correspondence; suggesting information about other products or services
- Open customer accounts by recording account information into databases
- Maintain or Input customer records by updating account information and make changes when needed
- Check policy information and policies for accuracy
- Resolve issues by clarifying the customer’s complaint and determining cause of problem, select and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, following up to ensure resolution
- Recommend or explain potential insurance products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
- Responsible for creating and distributing invoices, certificates and ID cards
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Protect company’s value and reputation by keeping information confidential
- Comply with Federal, State, and Local laws as well as with internal company policies and procedures
- Must have Texas P&C License or be willing to obtain license
